All Roads Lead To God

"Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and the books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And there were judged, each one according to his works.

Then death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:11-15

I guess when folks say that all roads lead to God they were right. But by the sounds of it, those roads don't stop there.

People question, " How can a loving God send people to hell? Didn't Jesus pay for the sins of the whole world?"

From the time of Adam and Eve, God had a plan. He loved mankind. He promised that the Messiah-the one who would save mankind and make all things right, would come.

But God is not a 'welfare' god.

Salvation is not a 'free for all'.

Salvation is a gift. It's not something man can demand from God.

Salvation is not mankinds right.

Salvation is God's gift to mankind. Mankind can only receive it with humility of heart. With heart bowed low, putting Jesus who is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, first over all things in ones'life.

The gift of salvation must be received in order to save a person.

Those who see the gift but have no interest in receiving it as their own, have no right to it's benefits.

Those of us who believe in Jesus as our Saviour have the responsibility of "opening people's eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are set apart by faith in Jesus." Acts 26:18

Father, help me to trust in Your Word and know without a doubt, that Your Word is true.
Thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus and His suffering, dying and rising up again-for me! I know the only works that I can do that would save me, is receiving this gift of forgivesness and life. ThankYOU!!! In Jesus' name.
